healing coaching : how does it work?

In our initial connection, you will arrange to have a quiet, uninterrupted period of time in a space where you can relax and feel at ease. I will phone you at our appointment time. There is no cost to you for this initial meeting. We will have a chance to “test the waters” and determine if we are a good match for working together. If the connection feels harmonious and with creative potential we will proceed to the next step.

If I feel that you might better be supported by a different kind of approach (for instance, a psychotherapist) then I will make suggestions to you for your course of action and perhaps leave the space open to work together at a future time.

We are a part of a creative universe where everything is constantly in the process of movement and change. As a part of it, you and I will be involved in a creative process together. Just as nothing in life remains static, we too are a dynamic energy system in cycles of constant change. Death of the old and birth of the new is taking place in each moment. It is not unusual that a crisis, or a “spiritual emergency”, arises when there is a new level of personal growth or healing occurring. Although this may appear to be something negative during the period of time that one is going through it, in actuality it can be something very positive. As the organism struggles to reorganize itself, old patterns of being, thinking and doing no longer work. Although this may feel uncomfortable, it is actually a good sign because it is creating the opportunity for something new. In fact, the Chinese character for crisis and opportunity is the same. A crisis situation can be viewed as having opportunity in it because in the dissolution of one thing there is space for something new.
