My role as your facilitator is to be an ally to help you develop insight into the habits of mind (and body) that create obstacles to inner peace and new possibilities in your life. I draw on the varied aspects of my professional training and personal life experience to help you view your life from an aerial perspective and to relate to your challenges as part of a larger journey. An integral part of this work is to teach you about the practice of mindfulness meditation, and provide a slightly different context in which you can think of change and transformation. In order to transform something, we must first be able to have a glimpse into the nature of that “something”.
It
is like untying a knot. You first need to understand how it is entangled.
Then you can begin to loosen the knot, or as we say in the Buddhist
mindfulness teachings, to “loosen the grip” of habitual
mind. I will teach you how you can make the breath (breathing in and
breathing out) your ally to help you stabilize the mind, become aware
of its discursiveness, and bring you back into the present moment.
This journey, which brings continual change, is indeed the journey of a warrior, because it is a path of courage, strength and bravery. I will assist, support and cheer you on in developing the courage to go forward, move through fear, and discover the ability to express more of your authentic self.
